Holy Week

SCRIPTURE | Mark 8:27-29

And Jesus went on with his disciples to the villages of Caesarea Philippi. And on the way he asked his disciples, “Who do people say that I am?” And they told him, “John theBaptist; and others say, Elijah; and others, one of the prophets.” And he asked them,“But who do you say that I am?”

TODAY’S THOUGHT | Who is Jesus?

Opinions abound when it comes to Jesus. Asking the question, “who do people in general say about Jesus” will result in countless different answers. Jesus pushes away the noise of the crowd to ask you directly – “Who am I?” At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter what everyone else thinks or says. What truly matters is how you answer Jesus’ question.

During this 8-week series we will walk with Jesus to hear who he claims to be. We will watch as he demonstrates his identity. In the end, each of us will have to wrestle with Jesus’ question personally, “Who do you say that I am?”

PRAY

Ask God to help you see, understand, and experience who Jesus is through the Bible passages we will read together in the coming days.
