Word from Pastor Steve

The elders at CrossPointe Church continue to monitor and pray through the realities of the coronavirus pandemic. In God’s providence, he led us through a time at the beginning of the year reminding us of what it means to BE THE CHURCH. Over and over and again we said that church is not just the Sunday morning gathering but it is the people of God being his body within the world. This is our opportunity – now is the time.

After prayerful consideration, we will be the church to one another and our community in specific ways through which we encourage your participation.

SUNDAY MORNING SERVICES – We have moved our Sunday services online for the health & well-being of our community. You can watch and interact with our services on Sundays at 10:00 AM here (https://xpointe.online.church). We plan to have a streaming online service available for now. We are canceling services for two main reasons: 1) Romans 13:1-7 instructs us to submit to our governing authorities. Our national and local leaders have asked us to minimize large gatherings to reduce the spread of the coronavirus and this is an appropriate step. 2) We care about those at risk in our congregation and our community. Motivated by love, we are canceling these large gatherings to prevent unnecessary harm.

COMMUNITY GROUPS – We are encouraging our community groups to continue meeting together in alternative ways, while taking the necessary precautions to ensure everyone’s health. If you are not currently connected to a Community Group, but would like to be, click here.

COMMUNITY & CONNECTION – Though we are making the necessary decision to temporarily move worship services online, we are encouraging and challenging you not to isolate yourself in fear. How can you reach out and care for your neighbor, co-worker, or friend? Now is the time to pull together in compassion and care for one another. If you, or someone you know needs help assess health symptoms possibly related to Covid-19 please visit https://floridahealthcovid19.gov/treatment/ or contact the COVID-19 Call Center available 24/7 +1 (866) 779-6121 or email [email protected].

The elders are continuing to monitor the situation while leading with a prayerful dependence on God. Let us be a people who serves and loves a broken world with the faith, hope, and love we have in Jesus.

Blessings,

The CrossPointe Elders
