Frequently Asked Questions

What is the service like?

At CrossPointe Church, our services begin with our worship team leading the church in songs with lyrics projected on a screen so you can sing along and engage with the service. After the opening music portion of our service, children between 1st – 6th grade will be released for children’s church as one of our pastors comes out to share an encouraging and hope-filled message from the Bible. We respond to the message with two more songs and then close with announcements.

Our services typically last between 60-75 minutes.

What about my children?

Children are significant at CrossPointe Kids. We are passionate about supporting parents as they lead their children in the teachings of Jesus.

One of the ways we are coming alongside parents in this season is by going through the same passages with the children as the adults are studying in service. The Story of God is an excellent opportunity for you as parents to come alongside your kids for Gospel conversations. During class we incorporate fun activities, a time of study and thought provoking questions to help them work through what it means to be a follower of God.

We want you to know that your children are more than welcome in the sanctuary, but if you would like them to interact with children their age on a Sunday morning, CrossPointe Kids offers two classes. The first class consists of children in older Pre-K, Kindergarten, and First grade, and the second class consists of second through Fifth Graders. There is a parent-led Middle School group held during service that your child is welcome to join. For children 3 years and under, we have a play yard right outside the sanctuary, allowing them to play while you listen to the sermon.

Our heart is to serve the needs of the families within the church, and we are excited to branch out to younger and older classes when the need arrives.

We take the safety of children seriously from the moment you check in your child through our secure process to each of our teachers and helpers being background checked and trained for their responsibilities. You can be assured your children will be safe and have a great time.

At Crosspointe, the children are in the sanctuary with us during the first worship set and the reading of scripture. Afterward, they are let go to their classes, where they will stay until you pick them up.

Please plan to arrive 10 – 15 minutes early on your first visit so we can input your family into our secure check-in system.

What do people wear?

In Florida, we go to church in casual clothes. The pastor typically wears jeans and a button-down shirt; you will see some dressed up and others in shorts and flip-flops.

What is the music like?

We have a band with multiple instruments. Our music selection ranges from historic hymns to modern worship songs in culturally diverse styles.

What are the sermons like?

We believe the Bible is God’s word, so we typically preach through books of the Bible and examine how these eternal truths apply to our lives today. Sermons are typically 30-45 minutes in length.
