The Hope of the Resurrection
HISTORY
  • Understanding the events of Resurrection Sunday in light of the disappointment from the previous week.
REMEMBER
  • God is faithful and true to his word (Luke 24:6)
  • As a follower of Jesus, you are:
    • BELOVED – with an everlasting love (Jer. 31:3)
      ADOPTED / CHILD OF GOD – who is lavished with the great love of God (Roman 8:15,1 John 3:1)
      DELIGHTED IN – God is a mighty warrior who saves and he chooses to delight in you (Zeph. 3:17)
      FORGIVEN – Jesus bore your sins in his body on the cross (1 Peter 2:24)
      FREE – you are free from the slavery of sin (Galatians 5:1)
      A TEMPLE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT – (1 Cor. 6:19)
      SWEET AROMA TO GOD – for we are to God a pleasing aroma of Christ (2 Cor. 2:15)
      NEVER ALONE – I will never leave you nor forsake you (Deut. 31:8)
  • Death is swallowed up in victory (1 Corinthians 15:19-20, 51-56)
