Vision for 2020
While sitting on the Mount of Beatitudes, Jesus said to his disciples, "You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden, nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket but on a stand and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven."
Throughout 2020 we will intentionally endeavor to become and make disciples who live for God's glory by allowing the light of the gospel to SHINE through our lives.
Four Goals
Identity in Jesus
God is our greatest treasure, not ourselves. As we are being transformed by God, we become less so that he becomes more, thereby allowing the light of the gospel to shine through us.
Culture of Connection
We display the light of the gospel as we love and serve one another. We can encourage each other to grow in our gospel transformation as we share our own stories of transformation.
Develop Kids' Ministry
We strive to faithfully pass on the hope we have in Jesus to our children, so those future generations will continue to live in obedience to God as a light in the world.
Be the Church
We are called to live as a light in the world throughout the week, not just on Sundays. We desire to be the church in our communities throughout our neighborhoods and the nations.
