Why are we meeting outside?

There are 2 main reasons why we are meeting in the park, rather than at our normal location of South Creek Middle School.

#1 CrossPointe Church is working together with South Creek Middle School and Orange County Schools to identify the best protocols and timeline for returning to that space, but a timeline is not yet in place.

#2 Our medical professionals agree that it is overall more safe for us to gather outside rather than inside at this time.

Chisholm Park also has restrooms and hand-washing facilities available onsite.

Do I have to wear a face covering?

Yes. Osceola County requires everyone to wear a face covering in public.

Will you still offer online services?

Yes, we will continue to provide our regular online service on Sunday at 10 AM for the coming weeks.

We do want to move to a live-stream of our in-person gathering but it will take us a few weeks to work through the technical requirements.

Yes, we will sing in worship together during the service.

To minimize the impact, we are gathering outside, with social distancing, and face coverings.

Will we celebrate communion?

Yes. We will celebrate the Lord's Table using pre-packaged elements (cup and cracker). We are still working out the details for how the elements will be distributed during the service.

When will we meet at the school again?

We do not have an official date. CrossPointe Church is working together with South Creek Middle School and Orange County Schools to identify the best protocols and timeline for returning to that space, but a timeline is not yet in place.

Why do I have to bring a chair?

The only seats are at tables and remain fixed and close together. Bringing your own chair ensures we can maintain social distance. Everyone bringing their own chair also minimizing the impact on cleaning and set-up for our volunteers as we all work together.

If you do not have a chair to bring and are not able to arrange for someone else to bring one for you - please let us know. CrossPointe will ensure one is provided. Email [email protected] for assistance.
