Emptiness of Envy

Proverb 27:4

Wrath is cruel, anger is overwhelming,

but who can stand before envy?

 

Proverb 14:30

A tranquil⁶ heart gives ^tlife to the flesh,

but ^uenvy⁷ makes ^vthe bones rot.

 

1 Peter 2:1-3

So put away all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander. 2 ^kLikenewborn infants, long for the pure spiritual ^lmilk, that by it you may grow up intosalvation— 3 if indeed you have ^mtasted that the Lord is good.
